OARS Liquid

Research has proven that water repellency and LDS is caused by the build-up of organic acids in the top layer just below the thatch/soil interface. These organic acids are the result of dead plant material that builds-up over a short period of time. OARS Liquid affects 100 percent of the surface area per application and research has demonstrated that it removes as much as 27,5 percent of those water repellent organic acids after two applications. Because turf is aggressive and is continually growing, the build-up of organic acids is also continual. OARS Liquid’s unique combination of a hydrating surfactant and organic acid solubilizer is the only chemistry that addresses water repellency at the cause. This unique combination also provides a dryer and firmer playing surface. OARS Liquid is the corrective approach to managing water repellency. Unlike other surfactants and soil amendments that just alleviate the symptoms of soil water repellency, OARS Liquid solubilizes the built-up hydrophobic organic substances allowing them to be flushed from the soil particle surface and provides 30 days of hydration. Recent research has indicated a curative effect on Type II fairy rings after two applications with OARS Liquid.

Surfactants

Aqua Aid Europe offers an extensive range of surfactant products for the professional turf industry. These surfactants can be split up into two major categories, state-of-the-art 3-D surfactants and conventional surfactants. The 3-D surfactants are the most advanced surfactants in the market. These surfactants are backed up with various independent research and have field-proven results for numerous of years by the end users.

The multi-branch regenerating technology is completely different to other technologies currently used in the professional turf market. The difference between the traditional linear co-polymer molecules is that they are much higher in molecular weight and have multiple interactive sites (6 or 8 sites), therefore each branch is a wetting agent by itself. This branching will increase the interaction between the surfactant and the soil, this will cause very consistent moisture levels within the treated surface. The combination of the higher molecule weight and branching will positively affect the biodegradation of the product. As one branch is removed via biodegradation, a new lower molecular surface active species is regenerated, this will continue to manage the water in the soil.

This technology is incorporated in all of our 3-D surfactants. This will reduce hydrophobic conditions on a sustainable basis.
Independent research has shown the surfactants are able to reduce water uses of over 30 % while keeping the turf quality at the same quality.
