International Account manager for Southern Europe (Spain, Portugal, France, Italy)
What will you do?
At Aqua Aid, we work every day to build long-lasting and sustainable customer relationships. As an International Account manager for Southern Europe, you will be responsible for maintaining contacts and nurturing strong relationships with our distributors and direct customers abroad. While many of these are in Europe, our network spans globally. Our products are also sold through distributors in the Middle East and Asia. You will be responsible for customers in Southern Europe, specifically France, Spain, Portugal, and Italy.
Working closely with our customers and distributors, we are always seeking opportunities for improvement. In this, you will have an advisory role, and your expertise will be highly valued. Communication is often digital, but depending on the distributor or customer size and the issues at hand, you will also visit distributors and direct customers in person. This means that you will frequently travel within your assigned work area.
In this role, you'll have a lot of autonomy and the corresponding responsibility. You'll have the space to determine strategies and adapt work processes. You will also evaluate and analyse distributors and direct customers in the network while seeking new distribution channels. In essence, you'll ensure that our network has good coverage across various countries and that we add value to our distributors and direct customers.
You'll be part of a dynamic team of international Account managers based both at our head office in Breda as well as on location. Within this team, your expertise, talent, and drive will play a significant role in achieving results. You will report directly to the Managing Director.
Who are you?
You hold (at least) a Bachelor's degree in horticulture, Agriculture, International Land & Water Management, or a related field. Alternatively, you have a different background that aligns with our technology and markets. If you do not have a Bachelor's degree in the mentioned fields but have a different Bachelor's degree and are eager to learn and driven, we are willing to provide internal training regarding our products and their applications, provided you meet the other requirements.
You possess a positive and commercial mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, ambition, creativity in the commercial realm, and an ability to value relationships.
You have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Account manager within this specific market, preferably in an international setting. Alternatively, you have a minimum of 3 years of experience in another industry as an International Sales or Account manager and are accustomed to dealing with various cultures, especially those of Southern European countries.
In addition to proficiency in MS Office, you have a good command of English, both spoken and written and ideally, you also have proficiency in one or more South European languages like Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Italian.
You are willing to travel (25-50% of the time). Having an (extensive) professional network in the mentioned countries is a plus.

One of the key themes here is water conservation, and we provide biodegradable solutions for that. We also help our customers achieve and maintain top-level turf quality in a world where quality standards are continuously rising, and external factors (such as changing climate and evolving regulations) have an increasingly greater impact on manageability. As our technology finds broader applications, we are seeking individuals who want to contribute to shaping this wonderful company's future. There are various new application areas, such as horticulture, greenhouse cultivation, and even B to C, where the need to conserve water is growing due to changing climate and a more environmentally conscious society. Our solutions are becoming more relevant in these areas.
What do we offer?

The full-time gross monthly salary ranges between €4,000 to €6,000, depending on your education and experience. This is an all-inclusive salary (including international travel). Additionally, you will have access to a lease car, laptop, and phone for the job. A decent pension plan is included in the benefits package.
